Busy, Busy

Wow, it's been 2 weeks since I updated. I've been busy working on school, reading, and doing fun summer things. After my piano lessons every Tuesday, the 3 ladies have started going downtown to eat a picnic lunch, which is kinda fun. Of course anytime Je is with us, we have more fun. This summer I play the piano about every Wednesday downtown at a store. I can't say I'm very good at it, but hopefully I'll get better as I do it more.

This summer, on Fridays we've been taking the day off and sewing. Last Friday, I finished making myself a skirt, although I really don't need any more skirts. Today I cut out a top to go with the skirt.

Je and I have started trying to walk for 1/2 hour every night. I'm trying to finish my Physical Education for school this summer, and plus I enjoy spending time with my sister. One night before our walk, I dressed up and Je took some pictures of me for my senior pictures. One of the bushes in our backyard was in bloom, and I wanted some of my senior pictures taken with it, so Je obliged.

I've been working on English Literature, Physical Education, and Courtship for the month of June. In July, I plan to take a break from Eng. Lit. and work on British History and Government.

Trip to Grandma's!

Tuesday, the ladies (Mommy, Je and me) went to visit Grandma. We had a great time together. We did lots of cleaning, put a puzzle together, and watched videos and tv in the evenings. Thursday Je drove us home.

Yesterday Je signed up for college this fall. Just one week after graduation, Je has decided to go back to college to take a PowerPoint class. She plans on using the skills she learns to create a PowerPoint presentation for my graduation next year.

Also yesterday, Daddy took the day off from work, so I talked him into taking me swimming in Lake Michigan. It was sprinkling outside, but I had a good time.

My Uncle Joe came down with cellulitis Tuesday night and was still in the hospital when he had a heart attack last night, so if you think of it pray for him and his family.

My family is having a family portrait done this afternoon, which is always very interesting because we have an extreme case of opiacameraphobia -I made up the word which means extreme blinking when having your picture taken. I'd better get all beautified for it.

Je's College Graduation!!!

Last night, Je graduated with an Associates Degree as a Medical Assistant. Earlier that day she completed her externship. As her proud sister, I'm happy to inform everyone she graduated with a 4.0. It was a long graduation with between 600 and 700 graduates, but we had Je to break up the monotony. It'll be nice not having Je at school or studying. Hopefully Je will have plenty of time this summer to play with me and go on walks to the beach.

Here's a picture with a fellow Medical Assistant graduate.

This week I started English Literature, which is tougher than American Literature. On Fridays Mommy will not work on school with me, as she has declared Friday Sewing day. At present I'm making a skirt and top, and Mommy is making a bathrobe for herself.

Cousin Mark's Open House

Je and I got our picture taken by Daddy.

We had a good time catching up with the relatives.

Many pictures were taken.

The food was carefully set out.

There was lots of food!

And finally here's a picture of the graduate.
Congratulations Mark!
