Tuesday's Snow

What's Going On Here

Blogging isn't my first priority, so I've been busy trying to do school. I finished my first semester of American Literature, and I'm suppose to be doing a report for American History on Patrick Henry, but I'd rather just do the research.

Je has survived all her tests and pokes this week. I quizzed her on EKG earlier this week, and she seemed to know her stuff, so I'm not worried about the results. She has endured at least 3 TB test on the lower arm, one prick on the finger for a glucose test, two pricks on the finger for a Hematocrit and a simulated insulin injection in the lower abdomen. She says they don't hurt too bad. I am glad she is getting poked and not me.

I'm studying for the ACT. My reading is good, but math and science are disasters.

This afternoon I enjoyed a blueberry milkshakes made with Mommy's brand new blender. I like it when we buy new kitchen appliances. We're having tacos tonight, anything Mexican I really enjoy.

We have tons of snow here. Both violin and piano were canceled on Tuesday (Je didn't even have college, because Baker was closed). Yesterday before I cleared off the deck we had from 18 to 22 in.

Eventful Tuesday

Today was my second time ever driving alone. My mom asked me to drive myself to piano lessons, a short two miles down the road. Anyway I was almost to lessons, when the minivan suddenly started decreasing speed and wouldn't accelerate. Fortunately a side road was just ahead, so I turned in there. The vehicle pretty much quit working there. I called my mom, and then ran/walked the rest of the distance to lessons. For the next couple hours my family kept busy driving back and forth to the location with our other car. That incident interrupted the whole family's day.

Blessings of today:

It happened close to home.
A side road was close by when the minivan quit working.
Both Daddy and Je were able to be home this afternoon.
Most of my school work was done this morning, so I'm not behind in it much.
Best of all : We went out to eat tonight, because we weren't able to go grocery shopping.

I had my violin lesson this afternoon. My violin teacher sure was in a good mood today:) I even passed a song in Suzuki!! Today was one of my best lessons yet in violin.

Vision Forum Order

Our after Christmas Vision Forum order came in yesterday! Ki bought The Best of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival 2006 DVDs, Return of the Daughters DVD, and a CD on Gossip. Also Ki's Heartstring DVD arrived. We enjoyed watching Return of the Daughters together last night. This DVD tells about single young ladies serving their fathers at home between high school and marriage. Ki enjoyed viewing Heartstrings after she got her school work done. Heartstrings is by the makers of Bubble Trouble one of Ki's favorite movies. It's a movie about bonding the hearts of fathers and sons together.
