Back from Camp Barakel

We had a busy weekend. On Thursday, we were in Grand Rapids all day, at a Friends of Israel conference. We learned about Anti-Semitism: Satan's Lethal Weapon in the morning and afternoon. In the evening we went to an Honor Israel Night. We enjoyed meeting like-minded believers and learning about Anti-Semitism and the Jewish people.

Friday thru Sunday, we were all at Camp Barakel. Daddy attended a Men's Retreat on one side of the camp, and the ladies attended a Mother/Daughter Retreat on the other side of camp. All four of us really enjoyed our time. It has been 35 years since Mommy has been at Barakel!! We both had good chapel times, with excellent speakers. Some of the things the ladies did were: play Skip-Bo, eat lots of delicious food, go down the Thunder Express ( a long black tunnel that you go down in a sled), go paddle-boating on the lake, do lots of walking and sleeping. We had quiet roommates who liked to go to bed early, which I enjoyed.
In school, Je is still busy with tests, her externship, studying, and her class. She graduates from college June 6th. In 11th grade for me, I'm still trying to finish American Lit, at least I'm on the last chapter. Maybe this week I'll finish.

Here are some pictures from our weekend:

Mommy loved the Thunder Express

During our hayride it started to rain, Je took this picture while it was still a gorgeous day.

Daddy met some new people. This is a picture of the man he went canoeing with.
